Self care and Reiki Healing
With the Christmas holidays over, January is the month that we start seeing and reading adverts for diets, work outs, exercise, health clubs, retreats, mindfulness and everything to do with healthy living and Selfcare.
It's all so tempting and we have every intention of doing something in the new year and we may even join a club, book a retreat and start mindful eating. We feel positive and determined to stay with it and reach those personal goals we've been thinking about for so long! But then...…we sink into self sabotage when the mind starts telling us..."I don't have the time, I'll never stick to it, I can't be bothered. I'll start next week etc.....maybe next month," believe me I battle with the negative mind a lot we all do, its part of the human condition but there are many ways of overcoming this if we're prepared to go deeper.
Having taught and given REIKI for several years I know for sure that it can be an incredible support for shifting blocked energy that may be causing self criticism, low self - esteem, and depression. When you learn Reiki a part of it is that you go through a 21 day cleansing process which involves self reiki meditation, a wonderful ritual to do every day.
What are energy blocks and how do they affect us? When we feel our life progress is halted, we may be experiencing an energy block. Energy blocks consist of repressed feelings, unbalanced beliefs, inherited traumas, childhood memories, and programming absorb from our culture, schooling, religion, people, and places.
It's a beautiful 2 day course to learn and can be of real benefit in helping us to move forward and to learn more about ourselves.
